Call MLM Leads

Are you afraid to call MLM leads? Still not able to pick up the phone and dial the number?

I know what it’s like, because I’ve been there myself, always thinking that I don’t know what to say, I don’t know how to say it. And I even had a bigger challenge – I’m not a native speaker! So I do forget words every once in a while. So I think my biggest fear was to look stupid (or should I say – sound).

I believe every single person goes through many many different fears in their home business career, including the fear of picking up the phone and calling leads.

In this post and video I share several tips and techniques that have helped me to get with people on the phone (on Skype or Whats App because I’m international). 

Get proper training

This is absolutely vital. If you want to attack any marketing strategy or a traffic method, you have to invest in your education first, or you won’t know what you’re doing. It will also take you a lot of time to figure everything out on your own.

So when I started calling leads I faced 3 big challenges

  • People didn’t see my phone number, it appeared as something like “blocked” or “anonymous”, and people wouldn’t pick up their phones
  • They didn’t know who I was because they either opted in to so many different things, or these were MLM leads that I bought (yes, I used to do that too). 
  • When they did pick up the phone, they weren’t interested in what I had to offer. 

This last challenge kept me so frustrating and I just kept saying to myself – “I’ll never call leads ever again“, I was so afraid of rejection, that it kept me procrastinating for so long. So I knew that I had to figure out some ways so that people would call ME, not the other way around! 

Let me share with you something. We all have different breakthroughs in our business career. So I was at an event in London this year, and a guy was sharing his strategy of getting with leads on the phone (or Skype). He had an application process where leads had to apply to speak to HIM (technically he has a coach who does the calls, but in the beginning he did that himself). And that was a big “AHA” moment for me. And I told myself – “I can do that!”.

And that’s exactly what I did when I came home. I created a simple application form, where I don’t even need to qualify prospects, they qualify themselves by answering questions in the form. And then they schedule a call with me, so I can help them out personally. 

I knew that I HAD to use the phone to call MLM leads, because you can’t build a sustainable, long-term business without picking up the phone and calling leads. Not only it adds a personal touch, you also let people know that you are a real person, and you are there to support them, and that you’re not hiding behind your computer. 

Talking with people on the phone builds rapport and relationships much quicker than any chat on the Internet as well as it will also increase the retention in your business. 

And what I like about that application process is that only serious people will fill it out, and I already know what challenges and road blocks they are facing, and I can provide them solutions during the call more accurately. And on the phone you see if your business is a fit for them, or any product or system that will benefit them. 

Another advantage of the application / scheduling process is that you’re not running after big numbers, you are focusing on the quality. I would rather talk to 2-3 people a day, instead of calling tens of people every single day, hearing rejection and wasting my time, doing the sifting & sorting. Application does it for you. 

What’s also good about scheduling the calls, is that people know that the time is already set, and they are looking forward to the call.
